Surgery Plans and Maggi’s New Skirt

Maggi had a wonderful visit with Dr. Devito today!  They did x-rays, and Dr Devito said that Maggi’s spine is still around 52°!!  After her last surgery in March, it was in the high 40′s to low 50′s, so if anything, it’s only gone up a few degrees… and that’s GREAT!!  Maggi’s next surgery will tentatively be sometime in mid-October.

While at the Dr.’s office, Maggi had a chance to show off her new skirt that mommy made!!  It’s an adorable skirt with an elastic waist featuring a beautiful ballerina print with details in lavender.  Pockets are embellished with lavender flowers and center pleat.  The skirt is trimmed in the same fabric from which the pockets were made.  It can also be finished nicely with a lavender bow to place on the center of the elastic waist.  Maggi’s skirt does not have a bow only for her personal comfort.

Donna made this skirt using Simplicity pattern A2083, and it fits sizes 3-8 girls.  The elastic waist stretches from 20.5″ to 23.5″ and can grow with your daughter.

If you’d like to order a skirt like this for your little girl, the charge is $45 plus #3.75 shipping.  Donna will include a free hairbow made from the same material.

If you’d like Donna to make ANYTHING for your child, find the pattern on Simplicity’s website, then Contact Donna to discuss your theme, colors and size desired.  She LOVES to make things for people.  It’s very therapeutic.
